Decide if you want to build your own site… or not.
Obtain a domain name. Do not buy a domain name until you’ve read this article: 10 tips for choosing the perfect domain name.
Obtain hosting for your site. Domain names and hosting can be purchased from Ezekiel Systems for $100 per year (generally speaking). Otherwise, check GoDaddy.com, Hostgator.com, or Bluehost.com for domains and hosting plans. Remember to get a hosting plan that can handle a WordPress site if needed. If building your own site with Wix, they will provide hosting for you. Also check the email plans.
Obtain a professional email address with your hosting. Ezekiel Systems can add professional email service for $50 per year (for 1 email).
Start creating/ building. Even if you are NOT building your own site, you are still responsible for the content and overall message of your site. Start gathering ideas & materials: page content, images, videos, theme ideas, blog ideas, etc.
